Each chapter is a story & I could read these stories over and over. Streams In The Desert | Volumes 1 & 2
by Mrs. Charles E. Cowman Volume 1 . This devotional book, written in 1925, is consistently applicable. God breathed words that speak to us year after year. Volume 2 . We just found Volume 2 online... an original from 1968 in perfect condition! Each book has a dated, daily reading and we have loved reading from both every morning. I highly recommend devotionals, as they are an easy way to start each day with a word from God. If I am short on time, I still ALWAYS have time for this, while I am enjoying my cup of coffee. When I have a bit more time, I love to dig into the scripture in the devotions, along with whatever book of the bible I am currently reading. Best start to the day ever!

This book has helped both of us... anxiety, depression, and melancholy are super common. This book helped us realize that many people struggle with this and provided real answers and hope. We are pretty sure everyone should read this book, because everyone knows someone that is living with anxiety and/or depression... and this book provides understanding. 
This book is not a spiritual "Whole 30", or a "10 steps to a better you", or any of those follow the rules & your life will be awesome types of self help programs that we Americans seem love so much... nope. This book is a reset button." Read our entire review, this book is our must read.
So good. My husband and I read this together. Must read for singles, married, dating... people.
